BROWNIES
Serves: Cakes 8, Cookies 35
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 squares chocolate (melted)
- ½ c. melted butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ½ c. flour
- ½ c. nutmeats
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 square chocolate
- 1½ Tbsp. water
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- Beat eggs and salt. Add sugar. Beat again and add melted chocolate, melted butter, and vanilla. Add flour. Mix until smooth. Add nutmeats. Bake 25 minutes in 8x8 inch pan in 350 degree oven. Cool. Frost.
- FROSTING:
- Melt 1 tablespoon butter and 1 square chocolate (1 oz.). Blend in warm water. Stir and beat in sifted powdered sugar. Spread and cut into bars.
