CHEESE BISCUITS
 
Ingredients
  • ¾ c. butter
  • 1 lb. extra sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 4 c. flour
  • ½ tsp. cayenne
  • ½ tsp. salt
Instructions
  1. Cream the butter. Add grated cheese. Add the sifted dry ingredients. Chill thoroughly to make it easier to handle. Roll out thin (1/4 inch). Cut with a small cutter (a cheese glass is about the right size). Top with a pecan half that has been dipped into cold water. Place on ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees {do not brown) about 15 minutes. Watch carefully as cheese burns easily.
