CREAM OF ONION SOUP
- ½ c. butter
- 6 Spanish onions
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 qt. milk
- ⅓ c. grated cheese
- Croutons
- Place butter in frying pan and add the peeled and thinly sliced onions. Cook to a golden brown. Add milk, salt and flour to onions and cook gently for 5 minutes longer. Sprinkle with cheese and croutons. Serve.
