PINEAPPLE SHEET CAKE
Serves: About 24 servings.
 
Ingredients
CAKE:
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup, undrained
CREAM CHEESE ICING:
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. confectioners' sugar
  • ½ c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ c. nuts, chopped
Instructions
  1. In large bowl, combine cake ingredients. Mix until smooth. Pour into 15xlOxl inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Cool.
  2. For Icing: Combine cream cheese, sugar, butter, and vanilla in medium bowl. Beat until smooth. Spread over cake and sprinkle with nuts.
