MARIE’S COFFEE CAKE

MARIE'S COFFEE CAKE
 
Ingredients
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • ½ c. white sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • ½ c. cooking oil
  • ½ c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
Instructions
  1. Put together sugars, flour and cooking oil and mix thoroughly. Remove ½ cup of this mixture for topping and add chopped nuts and cinnamon. To the remaining mixture add eggs, buttermilk, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Beat well. Pour into 9x9 inch pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Serve warm.
